Starting with ninth grade and serving all students requires us to think and act differently.

Rigorous Curriculum

Literacy and real-world problem solving

Our students read rigorous texts, analyze problems, debate ideas, and put their voices into writing. Students apply their learnings to real problems in their backyards and beyond.

Standards-aligned curriculum for equity

Standards tell us what it means to be college ready. We align our curriculum to them so our students will have the stepping stones to the college and career of their dreams.

Texts that reflect our students

Our students engage with texts that reflect their identities and histories and that further expose them to diverse experiences and ideas.

We believe it is never too late to be prepared for college success. Our students are strong and can truly achieve anything they set their minds to.

Co-Curriculars

Pride in our sports teams

We offer varsity sports across every season, including: football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, track, softball, and baseball.

Creativity in the arts

We offer band and auxiliary teams such as dance, cheer, majorettes, and more that perform through the sports and Mardi Gras seasons, honoring tradition and showing school pride. We also offer visual arts, digital media, and more — exact offerings vary by school.

Clubs that drive passion

Student Government, Yearbook, Cosmotology Club, Gay-Straight Alliance, Barber Training, and more! Each of our schools offers unique clubs grounded in students' passions.

We do whatever it takes to ensure that every student enrolled with us receives an excellent education and well rounded experience.

Every child can grow. Our continuum of intervention and special education services is designed to make that a reality. They include:

Interventions and Wrap-Around Services
  • On-site health clinics
  • Access to 2-3 full-time Social Workers on every high school campus
  • Academic and behavioral interventions (guided reading, phonics, incentive plans, and more)
Special Education Services and In-House Evaluation
  • The full continuum of Special Education services
  • Specialized Programs focused on Diverse Learners (students with significant disabilities, students with therapeutic needs, and more)
  • Evaluation and Related Services Teams (Speech and Language, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy)

Five high schools. Two post-secondary programs. One mission.

Inclusive Student Culture

Relationships and Expectations

Our student culture is safe, loving, supportive and demanding. Our teachers prioritize building relationships and celebrating the wonderful ways our students grow and model excellent citizenship in our school communities.

Restorative Practices

We use restorative practices so that students can reflect on their choices and grow. This makes our school communities stronger and helps students to support each other to be their best.

Trauma-Informed Approaches

We train our teams to implement trauma-informed teaching and culture practices to ensure our students feel safe and have strong relationships with their teachers.

Our mission demands innovation and leadership.

College and Post-Secondary Readiness

ACT and College Success Courses

We offer ACT courses starting in 11th grade and offer College Success classes to deepen the non-academic skills and habits critical for student success after high school.

College and Transition Counseling

Starting in 11th grade, all students meet with their College Counselors to create individualized plans for their futures. Diverse learners also meet with a Transition Counselor who ensures they are equipped to advocate for their diverse learning needs beyond high school.

Options for College and Beyond

Our goal is college acceptance for 100% of our students.  Additionally, our counselors are prepared and excited to talk with students about options outside of college that align with students’ passions and career goals.

Whether you just graduated from high school or you graduated six years ago, our Alumni Advisors are there.

Alumni Support

Alumni Advisors for Life

Every graduate has an Alumni Advisor who focuses on one-on-one and small-group advising to support college-ready skill-building, emotional wellbeing, access to resources, and finding passion.

Community and Cohorts

We employ a research-based college cohort model where Advisors build social belonging and expertise within specific campuses. We cultivate community among our alumni on each campus and beyond to ensure their networks last for a lifetime.

Postsecondary Partnerships

We are proud to officially partner with Dillard University and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to offer high quality support and opportunities for Collegiate alumni. We also build partnerships with other organizations such as Liberty's Kitchen, Job1, and Catholic Charities Immigration Services.
