High School Opportunity
Success starts right here. Right now.

College is the great differentiator. On average, college graduates earn $1 million more throughout their lives than those with a high school diploma. College matters.
Across our nation, teenagers attend schools that fail to prepare them for college and successful careers. National entrance exams show that 76% of students are not academically prepared for first-year college courses. College instructors routinely report that well above half of their new students were not adequately prepared by their high school.
This failure disproportionately affects low income and minority communities. Though an increasing number of affluent Americans now earn college degrees, only 8% of low income minority students graduate from college by age 24.
The opportunity before us is to change this, one school at a time.
